Marc Cadin is a former middle school civics teacher and coach in Oakton, Virginia. As part of his curriculum there, he stressed the importance of civic and public involvement to his students. Marc required each of them to engage in projects which involved them in their communities and taught them how to make a difference. As a coach, Marc believed that promoting the life lessons of hard work, sportsmanship, and teamwork were the most important aspects of his job.
After leaving teaching, Marc became the Vice President of Legislative Affairs for the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU). AALU is a national trade association dedicated to helping individuals and businesses plan for the future. During his time at AALU, Marc has trained hundreds of Association members on how best to participate in and increase both their involvement and their effectiveness in the federal decision making process. In 2004, The Hill newspaper named AALU one of the best grassroots associations in Washington.
Marc and his family attend St. Marks Church where he is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is also a member of the Fairfax County Bar Association, has been a coach in the Chantilly Youth soccer program, and he participates actively in the Fairfax County Republican Committee.
